Set in a vineyard estate of around 25,000m2, it is located in a transition zone between the laurel forest and the farmland of São Vicente. On the vineyard terraces we can see the Tinta Negra and Verdelho grape varieties, which produce the famous Madeira wine. The property is part of a group of houses with a shared swimming pool and several gardens with centenary trees, including a large oak tree over 250 years old and several endemic species of laurel forest such as tis, vinháticos, barbusanos and loureiros. The house is decorated with various details, in a fusion between classic and contemporary, which goes hand in hand with the tradition of a family home. The house is located in the north of the island, more precisely in Rosário, a parish in the municipality of São Vicente. As it is in a more isolated area, there are no shops in the vicinity of the property. Ten minutes' drive from the town of São Vicente, you'll find local shops, restaurants, a supermarket and a pharmacy. Near the house you have access to several trails and levadas, where you can take the opportunity to walk around and explore our fantastic island on foot. If you want to find other places or activities, the city of Funchal is a 45-minute drive away.
