This is a deceptively large (90 m2) and beautifully restored (stone) barn conversion. It has an open lounge/kitchen/dining area and 3 double bedrooms which can be arranged as either a King-sized double or with 2 twin beds. This holiday home (Luz da Lúa) is licensed to accommodate up to 8 people (1 supplementary bed can be set up in each one of the 2 upstairs bedrooms). Luz da Lúa has disabled access and one ground-floor bedroom with an adapted en-suite bathroom. Lúa means moon in Gallego and was named after the moonlight because of the magnificent night-time views of the stars which you can see through the skylights in the upstairs bedrooms. This is one of 2 properties managed under the name of 'Sosego d'Oruxo' which, in English, means the tranquility of Oruxo. Oruxo is the name of the small rural village in which the holiday home is located. If you are hoping to visit this area without a car, we have a licensed taxi on-site with an English-speaking taxi driver.

This nature house is located in a very quiet hamlet about a 30-minute walk from the town of Muxia but feels like it is in the middle of nowhere! We are privileged to have a large natural garden area which you are free to enjoy. During the seasons we have lemons, oranges, apples, pears, figs and even damsons. Feel free to pick some for your table. The garden has space to wander or play games as well as nooks in which to relax. The Camino de Santiago is, approximately 5 minutes walk away from our house. If you're considering pausing for a while after reaching the end of the world, we feel our location would be a great place to reflect on your experience. A local baker delivers to our door every morning except Sundays. We are happy to place an order for you - and highly recommend the tuna empanada!
