Our farm is a national monument from 1832 located in the southern part of Giethoorn on the village canal. In 2022 we modernized the farm and converted the former barn into a guesthouse. The cozy guesthouse has its own entrance, a spacious living room, a complete kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. On the open floor (loft) a sleeping space has been created for two persons. Our nature house is only accessible via a hiking-biking path or by boat and is about 2.5 minutes walk from the parking lot and therefore less suitable for people with mobility problems. You can also charge electricity at this parking facility. Between the parking lot and the nature house is a characteristic bridge.The kitchen is fully equipped. All kinds of cooking / kitchen utensils are provided. Beds are made. There are towels ready.

The best way to explore the beautiful surroundings is by whisper boat, which can be rented a short distance away. Within a few minutes you are so in the middle of nature. Nice to walk into the meadows and if you look around carefully you will often see deer. Will you stay a little longer in the region? Then Giethoorn is the ideal base to discover National Park the Weerribben Wieden. Or visit some of the nearby villages and towns. Especially during the summer season there are numerous events in the area, but even in the off-season there is plenty to do and discover in the region. For a nice day of shopping and culture, go to Steenwijk or Meppel, easily reached by bike. Or discover beautiful Blokzijl and Oldemarkt and have a wonderful day out here.
