Relax in this colorfully decorated cottage with all amenities with private terrace and garden views. The cottage is located on the border of the Netherlands / Germany on the German side in a nature reserve where you can enjoy hiking and cycling on both sides of the border. In addition, there are, also on both sides of the border plenty of activities and attractions. Parking is free. The main house is inhabited by the owner and 2 cats. You can bring your own bike or rent bikes that will be brought and picked up at the cottage. Please inquire about this. For longer stays, a washer and dryer can be used, at cost, at your disposal.

The cottage is surrounded by protected natural areas. Moor-Veenland/Bargerveen. In the nature reserves you can enjoy cycling and walking. There is something to do everywhere. A unique habitat with almost exotic traits. It sounds different, it smells different and it resembles no other landscape as we know it in Europe: Those who go on a voyage of discovery in the Dutch-German Veenland Nature Park will meet plants and animals that are (almost) only found here. Like the moor frog, whose male turns blue in mating season, and 30 different species of butterflies. Or the short-eared owl which, unlike its congeners, prefers to hunt during the day and no fewer than 300 other species of birds.An important part of the Nature Park is the Natura-2000 area Bargerveen, a unique area with living peat bog, remnant of what was once the largest peat bog in Europe.
