French doors lead to a grand outdoor with private bank, covered outdoor kitchen and picnic table, where you can enjoy cooking and dining, overlooking idyllic Lake Pingo. In addition to fire pit, hammock and chairs, a canoe is on the horizon. In addition to the outdoor kitchen, everything is available inside for making a cup of coffee or tea. Sleep under the stars: in the evening you fold down the freshly made double bed, where you can still gaze at the stars through the sky dome. The Silo is fully insulated, has underfloor heating and wood stove and can therefore be enjoyed all year round. This Nature House is located in a 20 ha forest, at the edge of a Pingo Lake. Besides relaxing here, enjoying the forest and on/on the water, this place is a perfect base to discover the beauty of Drenthe. Near megalithic tombs, forest lakes like Gasselterveld and the beautiful blue lake of 't Nije Hemelriek. Furthermore, you can meet the sheep herd on the heath, mountain biking, take up the challenge in the climbing park a little further away, and make beautiful canoe trips. Besides the authentic villages, the cities Groningen, Assen and Emmen are also worth a visit. In the Silo you will find a mini-VVV with information about the area, personal tips for e.g. local products and books, about the Hondsrug, nature guide and beautiful stories and poems.
