The gite is located on the corner of the characteristic French house of Dutch owners and has the living area with kitchen on the ground floor with access to private terrace with garden table chairs and parasol and connects to the adjacent garden. Bedroom, bathroom and toilet are upstairs (standing height not everywhere the same) and accessible by a (somewhat steep) staircase. The cottage is equipped with almost all conveniences for a wonderful relaxing vacation. However, you wash the dishes yourself. The gite and surroundings are ideal for cycling, hiking, fishing, markets, culture and antiquities. Picturesque villages, towns and unique nature, the Green Venice of France, Marais Poitevin and Sanxay, an ancient Gallo - Roman settlement within tens of minutes to an hour away.

Deux-Sèvres is blessed with a mild maritime climate, and has almost as many hours of sunshine as Provence! Be surprised by this beautiful department! The ancient Roman remains that dot the region. The castles, villages and towns, the water, the nature, the many roads that cross the country and that give rise to unexpected discoveries of forgotten corners, the markets and "brocantes". From beautiful places like Niort, St. Maxient L'ecole and Parthenay to fun sights and the larger theme parks like Futuroscope. Moreover, when you spend your vacation in this beautiful area, the Atlantic coast can be reached in 1.5 hours, so a lovely trip to the beach at La Rochelle is also a possibility. For enthusiasts, the Cognac region is also well worth a visit.
