Spacious authentic cottage next to a monumental kop-rompboerderij on the outskirts of the village Nijemirdum in the Frisian Gaasterland. The 4-person bakery is located next to the farm with its own entrance. Overlooking the meadows with the IJsselmeer in the distance and with its own terrace. The cottage is/will be largely renovated and equipped with a new and fully equipped kitchen (including an oven and a dishwasher) cum living room. Separate bathroom with toilet, sink, bathtub and separate shower. As soon as this is ready the pictures will follow! On the ground floor there is a bedroom with twin bed and on the second floor there is a bedroom with two separate beds. There is also an upstairs washing machine and a tumble dryer for your convenience.

In Gaasterland you can fully enjoy the walking and cycling routes in the area. The moraine landscape begins just next to the farm, forests, rolling fields beautiful villages and wide vistas. You walk in about 10 minutes to the forest and cycling in 10 minutes to the quaint village Oudemirdum where a number of stores (including a bakery, a butcher and a small supermarket) and restaurants are located and the visitor center of the tourist office, Mar and Klif. The nearest beach on the lake is also at a distance of about 10 minutes cycling. On the way you pass the Oudemirdummer cliff, the ragged edge of a boulder clay ridge. The Frisian lake district and all kinds of nice (Elfsteden-) towns, such as Sloten Hindeloopen and Stavoren are within a half hour drive from Nijemirdum. There are plenty of opportunities for water sports in the area. In nature you will find many water birds and foraging geese and if you pay attention in the dark you may encounter a badger!
