In June, July, August the cozy back house of my 200 year old farmhouse is for rent by the week. On a part of the property (5000m²) I myself live in my cabin by nature pond. Both the residents of the back house and myself enjoy total privacy because both parts are separated by garden walls, trees/shrubs + 40m. The back house has downstairs a large living room with wood stove, half-open kitchen, hall with toilet, double bedroom and upstairs a bathroom with bath with shower, sink, washing machine and separate toilet. In the reasonably equipped kitchen there is a 4-burner gas hob, a separate oven, a tabletop fridge freezer and a small dishwasher. Furthermore, a small KTV and a DVD/CD system. Adjacent to the living room a large terrace with garden furniture, surrounding garden with complete privacy. Bikes for rent from neighbors, organic farmer 2km. Not suitable for the disabled (steps/high stairs 3.50m). Please bring your own bed/bath/kitchen linen.

Located on a narrow oak planted road over which only farmers, neighbors and out-of-towners drive and agricultural traffic. No through roads nearby, it is still really quiet here (most of the time). The nature garden borders directly on bicycle/walking paths along the Berkel and the nature reserve that has been created on the banks of the river from the German border to the village of Rekken. The paths give access to the beautiful and quiet Achterhoekse coulisse landscape with many small and very quiet cycling and walking paths. Large nature reserves within cycling distance, Haaksberger Veen (4km), Lankheet/Assinkbos (4km), Buurser Zand (8km) etc. Reachable by public transport via line 199 (hourly service and 5 min. walk) from Haaksbergen and Eibergen. At the border crossing with Germany a small supermarket with real brown country pub where you, if you are lucky, can also get a meal and a German restaurant, both walking along the Berkel (1700m) to reach. So glass up, no problem. Nearest neighbors at 100m.
