Tastefully decorated and for the colder evening there is not only central heating but also air conditioning and of course a wood stove available. So close to the city of Groningen you can enjoy the great egret, marsh harrier, bald eagle and bittern but also the Exmoor ponies, fox and deer can be easily seen from, for example, the watchtower in De Onlanen. A nature reserve of about 2500 soccer fields in size, with rough hay meadows, swamp forest and plenty of space for excess water. Besides the many birds, the otter is also a welcome guest. Through Natuurmonumenten you can also join the forest ranger. Besides many hiking trails, there are also several bicycle routes through this unique nature reserve. The Leekstermeer lies in the middle of De Onlanden. Due to the shallow water depth, the lake is suitable for smaller boats. Camping Pool is a small campsite with only permanent residents. The approximately 60 cottages are very diverse. Apart from the pavilion in high season, there are no facilities on the campsite. The nearest store is in Oostwold and further in Hoogkerk or Roden. Public transport does NOT come to this campsite.
