The owner paints the surrounding landscape - is rural in the outskirts of Doetinchem. There is a yard situation, that is, the cottage forms one yard with two studios and a neighboring house. Yet the nature house with two sheltered terraces and beech hedges offers sufficient privacy for guests. The yard also consists of an apple orchard and a vegetable garden. From the terraces is a wide view of the surrounding pasture with donkeys, chickens and peacocks and fields. In the surrounding area there is ample opportunity for long walks and bicycle tours. Two kilometers away is the De Slangenburg estate with the castle of the same name. The exuberant natural beauty and historic buildings are a feast for the eyes. The area is very wild, so the dog must be on a leash. At some distance (the village of Zelhem) are plenty of stores for daily shopping. A little further away the city of Doetinchem with its city museum, cinema, theater and large retail chains offers sufficient cultural and commercial offer. Interesting trips can be made to Ruurlo (Castle Ruurlo with the collection of paintings by Carel Willink), festival De Zwarte Cross (in summer), the cultural center the DRU in Ulft and many renowned restaurants/hotels, such as De Gouden Leeuw (Hummelo) and Bakker (In Vorden).
