If you want to get away for a while and don't have a tent or caravan, book our furnished caravan for 2 persons with a bed of 1.80 x 2.00 meters. The caravan is simple but fully equipped. You will stay in a sheltered place in our yard. You book for a minimum of 3 nights.

Our house with chalet and caravan, stands on one hectare of private land in a village of 120 inhabitants. At 2 kilometers is the nice village Balk with a wide range of stores, restaurants and plenty of opportunities for all kinds of water sports. The garden where you stay is surrounded by trees and hedges and offers plenty of privacy. There is a canopy with a lounge area and simple kitchen and sanitary facilities. Imagine yourself in the region of Gaasterland in a totally different Waterland of Friesland. Here it is nice and "smout," or sheltered by the ancient forests. From one of the cliffs on the IJsselmeer you can see beautiful views as far as the horizon. The hilly surroundings make you almost forget you are in Friesland. Wander around in the famous Rijsterbos or visit one of the quaint villages of Gaasterland such as Oudemirdum, Balk or Sloten. You can explore Gaasterland on foot, by bike, by boat or even on horseback. When will you discover Gaasterland?
