This nature house is a beautiful monumental building dating from 1740. Over the past three years the farmhouse has been restored by craftsmen to its current state of being: a spacious vacation farmhouse, amidst the Brabant countryside. With six single rooms (most with private bathroom facilities) and two double beds, the Gite can accommodate up to 10 people. Using two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen, a large garden and a living room, there is more than enough room for everyone. Should anyone wish to escape company for a while, the historic front house lends itself extremely well. The Gite has been rebuilt according to monumental guidelines and with respect for its long history. In the yard, next to the old well is the original bakery house, where people used to bake the bread. The farm is a delight to the eye and now temporarily a summer available for recreation.

The Gite is in the middle of the Brabant countryside, surrounded on one side by grassland and arable farming, on the other, by an orchard and a meadow with usually grazing horses. Due to the proximity of the Stiphout woods, the area is rich in birds and the early walker has a chance of seeing a deer in the fields. On the same Stiphout woods lies Castle Croy, from where numerous walks depart, as well as in the nearby Bakelse Bossen. For a little detour you can cross directly over the field paths to the shade of the trees along the Wilhelminakanaal (the canal is directly behind the horse pasture). The immediate area is great for a bite to eat and a drink. Possibly a brewery tour of the nearby Bavaria factory would be worth considering. The nearest semi-city is Helmond. For some more serious city vibes, Eindhoven is 20 minutes away by car.
