Our vacation home was built around 1890 and completely renovated over the past 15 years with all modern conveniences. It is located in a quiet wooded area, where you wake up with birdsong in the morning. There is a spacious kitchen and living room. There is and bathroom with bathtub and spacious shower, kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher. From the living room you can access a large terrace with a view of the fjord. The terrace enjoys plenty of sunshine. Behind the house you can walk through a forest path to the waterfall, an ideal place to retreat and daydream. The two nearest houses are at a distance and are hidden from view, leaving you completely free. The house is comfortable with underfloor heating in the hallway and bathroom and a wood stove that heats the entire living room well on cold days. The living room has views to 3 sides, from rock to wooded to wide. Bedding and towels are provided. No wifi, but good cellular coverage.

The house is located on Iddefjord, called the pearl of this area. From the house is 6 minutes walk to the water with a beach and good swimming possibilities. Use of 4 person canoe is possible. Within 15 km you will find everything in a nutshell: the fjord, forests, lakes, the fortified town of Halden with a beautiful old center and a wide range of stores, Svinesund bridge , Rød Herregård (manor farm), Brekke locks and more. You can hike well in the area. The long-distance routes, the coastal path and the Karel 12th path are a few hundred meters from the house. The Swedish coast with its numerous islets and nature reserves is less than an hour's drive away. Day trips along the Oslofjord or to the old town of Fredrikstad ( gamle byen) are recommended. In the summer there are many cultural activities. The area is home to much cultural history with its petroglyphs and stone-age tombs. Looking for the urban? Oslo is 110 km away, Gøtenburg 185 km.
