A hotel cottage is a luxurious, detached hotel room on our green grounds. The cottages have a glass facade on both sides, providing an unobstructed view of the natural, green surroundings. The cottages are fully equipped but do not have a kitchen. You can also stay here for breakfast and/or dinner. Book directly through the landlord.

Stieltjeskanaal is a canal running from the city canal of Coevorden to the Verlengde Hoogeveensche Vaart in Nieuw-Amsterdam. The watercourse was constructed between 1882 and 1884. The canal owes its name to Thomas Johannes Stieltjes, who dedicated himself to its construction. Located on the fishing and boating waters of the Stieltjeskanaal just 8 km from Emmen and Coevorden. The village was created during the reclamation of the Dalerveen and is the connection between Nieuw Amsterdam, the former home of Vincent van Gogh, and the only city in Drenthe with a castle (Coevorden). The area is often called the "magical Drenthe. This area in the municipality of Coevorden offers varied landscapes along the Hondsrug. Beautiful natural areas for walking and cycling.
