This privately situated houseboat on the Boarn river (between Akkrum and Grou) can only be reached by boat. You can use our electric ferry-boat from the marina in Irnsum or moor your own boat directly at the woonark. The houseboat has a modern interior. Behind the houseboat is a large terrace with comfortable garden furniture. The large windows in the living room provide a fantastic view over the water and also a beautiful rural view over the Frisian meadows. The open kitchen is equipped with, among other things, a fridge-freezer, ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. The houseboat has 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and one triple). The master bedroom has its own bathroom and separate toilet. The other two rooms both have their own sink and share a spacious bathroom with toilet. Washing machine and dryer are also available. You can swim in the river Boarn and a swimming ladder is attached to the terrace.

There are several stores, supermarkets and restaurants in the surrounding villages such as Grou and Akkrum. They are both within cycling distance. On a less good day when you are not sailing, swimming or cycling, it is nice to visit Franeker, Leeuwarden or Sneek, for example. Here are some nice museums to visit. There is a possibility to bring your own boat (or rent one) and moor it at the jetty near the ark. You can go from your vacation home to enjoy the water of the Sneekermeer or the Pikmeer. From Grou you can go on a beautiful trip on a traditional Frisian Skûtsje. Are you coming with your children? Do not forget to visit the Kameleondorp in Terhorne.
