Mount Monviso (3840 m) is an iconic showpiece and provides the space for all the various activities; hiking, mountain biking, climbing, horseback riding and much more. Indeed, Italy's longest and most important river, the Po (Fiume Po) has its origin here. Nearby plenty of culture and the famous wine regions, Turin (40mins), many culinary hotspots, sports activities, the mountains, and much more beauty. In Gambasca, where our fine vacation home is located, (350 inhabitants) there is a nice and friendly atmosphere with a restaurant and a small store for delicious fresh bread, cheeses and wine. In winter there are 3 smaller ski areas within 20 minutes drive and of course the large Sestriere 450km slopes (Olympics 2008) within 1.5 hours drive.
