Cozy vacation home on a quiet vacation park in the middle of the Frisian Lakes area at the Goingarijpse Poelen. Beautiful base for water sports, but also to enjoy nature in the Natura 2000 area of Friesland. The house is located between Kameleondorp Terherne and Joure and is equipped with all conveniences such as wifi, washing machine and dishwasher. Spacious private garden with veranda, lounge sofa, wood stove. Garden is lockable with lots of privacy. Free use surfboard, bicycles and facilities park as a playing field, tennis court, ping pong tables, sandpit and swings. Park is car-free. Parking on public road which is dead end and therefore relatively quiet. Comes out to a beach on the lake that offers entertainment for swimming, surfing and playing (much of it shallow) for young and old. Also offers a direct base for a beautiful nature walk along the dike of the Frisian lakes. If desired, you can rent a berth for a boat at the park a € 12 per day.

The cottage overlooks the meadows surrounded by a dike with reed beds with the big water in the background. Here you can fully enjoy the meadow birds and waterfowl (whimbrels, lapwings, geese, sedge warbler, bittern, black-tailed godwit), not to mention the bald eagle and harrier that comes here in search of its food. In spring and autumn, many waders pass through including the ruff, golden plover and snipe. Each season has its own dynamics here. A walk on the dike of about half an hour, gives the feeling of a vacation in the middle of nature and is different every time. In the immediate vicinity are many more natural areas with a totally different identity. These areas are managed by It Fryske Gea, among others: the National Park De Alden Feanen near Eernewoude and the Mandefjeld near Bakkeveen are fine examples.
