The nature house is located in the old romantic fishing village of Moddergat near the Wadden dyke. It is hidden in a small private garden, where you can enjoy the peace and sun. There are several spots to sit in the sun or in the shade. The house has a double bed (160 x 200 cm) in the sleeping loft. On the first floor there is a living room with kitchen and dining table. The kitchen has a small oven, refrigerator (with small freezer), Senseo machine, kettle, toaster and two hotplates. The kitchen also has salt, pepper, sugar, coffee milk, coffee pods and tea for you! There are also games in the cupboard. There is a small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower (completely renovated). There is no smoking and pets are not allowed. Bed linen and towels are included. The accommodation is equipped with WiFi and television.

Moddergat is best known for its fishing museum t'Fiskershúske, which features both permanent and changing exhibits. Those who cross the dike enter the outer dike area. The area floods regularly and changes constantly. It is a paradise for birds. There is a pier in the area, where you can walk two kilometers into the mudflats. It seems like you can walk straight to Schiermonnikoog. Standing on the dike, you can see Schiermonnikoog in front of you. In 2004, Paesens-Moddergat was voted the second most beautiful place in the Netherlands! Near Moddergat is the National Park Lauwersmeer, a beautiful nature reserve. A supermarket/bakery and restaurant is in Anjum, 4 km away. Bicycles can be rented in the village (please contact us a day in advance.
