Luxury Tent

Are you looking for a holiday this year that’s a little bit different? Get as close to nature as possible with our luxury tent accommodations. Technically it is a tent, but some of them are as big as a small cottage with a roof and separate rooms. Most of them are completely furnished and allow pets. Some even have internet and swimming pools. You are in the luxury tent section after all.

All the tents are located in a quiet nature corner all around Europe. If you are not a fan of the scorching summer sun pick a country with a milder climate like the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland or if you want to catch that bronze summer tan check our tents in Italy, Spain and Portugal. There options for the mountain lovers, the beach goers or forest hikers.

The diverse nature of Europe

Europe's climate is so diverse that it allows you to have a refreshing morning walk in the mountains and be at the beach in the afternoon, catching the last hours of sunshine.

Nature parks and reserves are a great way to explore nature in its purest form. These establishments are made in order of protecting the flora and fauna from the outside world. Europe is filled with them. The Finish Wild Taiga is a perfect example with its untouched, by human hands, natural wilderness. Because of that you will have the opportunity to observe animals like brown bear, wolverine and wolves, as well as elk, forest deer, flying squirrel, beavers and some of our great predatory birds in their natural habitat. Or check the mountainous landscapes of the Ordesa National Park in Spain. Challenge yourself by climbing the 3,355 meters high Monte Perdido peak or take a hike to the 1,700 meters high “Cola de Caballo” waterfall.

Europe is not shy when it comes to water bodies as well. The Danube is located in Central and Eastern Europe and it is the second-longest river, after the Volga in Russia. The river runs through the largest number of countries in the world – 10. Or lake Vänern, which is the third-largest lake entirely in Europe after Ladoga and Omega in Russia.

West and Central Europe are the home of the Alpine region. Seven of the longest and highest ranges in Europe have been included in the Alpine Biogeographical Region. They comprise the Alps, the Apennines, the Pyrenees, the Scandes and the Carpathians. With the Accession of Bulgaria to the EU in 2007, two new mountain ranges have been added to the Alpine Region. They are the Balkan mountain and the Rhodopes.

Because of the long coastlines it is certain that some stunning sandy and rocky beaches will occur. Spain, Croatia, Greece and many more countries are a perfect example of that. The European seas are full with magnificent hidden heavens. Witness the Aurora Borealis from the cliffs of the Svalbard Islands and embrace the raw landscape and bracing climate of the North and Baltic Seas. Or have a problem free holiday in the Santorini archipelago and the crystal-clear waters surrounding a group of small volcanic islands in the Aegean Sea.

Explore, relax, repeat

No matter where you are there is one thing that does never change. The night sky in nature, far away from the light pollution of the city is so mesmerizing and overwhelming in a good way. Many people don't realize that the sky has many more hidden stars and beauty than what your eyes can see over your city home. Be sure to take your telescope and peer into the night sky the same way as Galileo Galilei did almost 400 years ago.

If you choose to have a winter holiday, try the French Alps. Visit the famous ski slopes Chamonix. The city sits right next to the highest peak in Western Europe – Mont Blanc. Climb all the 4809 meters to the snowy top and be amazed by the divine view high in the clouds. The peak is located right at the border of France and Italy so you can try cross country skiing. Glide along backcountry paths, through snow-covered forests and past frozen lakes. Or for something more relaxing take out the kids for a snowball fight or build a huge snowman right next to your luxury tent.

Summer is the most famous tourist season. You can go catch some tan on a deserted beach, far away from the city noise and pollution. You can always take a swim if it gets too hot. Or find a shade under a tree and try catching some fish in peace and quiet. Take the family with you for a nice afternoon picnic or barbeque. Hiking in a dense forest is also an option. Breathe the fresh air and observe the unique and innocent wildlife all around you. You can try more extreme activities like mountain biking, climbing, bouldering, canoeing and kayaking, surfing and many more.

From snowy mountain and rainy heathlands to sunny beaches

Europe's climate is mostly pleasurable. Most of Western Europe has an Oceanic climate featuring cool to warm summers and cool winters with cloudy skies. Southern Europe has a distinctively Mediterranean climate, which features warm to hot, dry summers and cool to mild winters and frequent sunny skies. Continental climate is classified for Central-eastern Europe, which features warm to hot summers and cold winters. The climate of western Europe is strongly conditioned by the Gulf Stream. The coldest winters are recorded in Russia and the warmest summers are in Spain, Portugal and Greece.

The average temperatures for Helsinki, Finland for example are –2 °C in winter and 22 °C - summer. Just for comparison in Athens the winter temperatures in January drop to 13 °C and for July they reach more than 35 °C.
