Last minute Copenhagen

In Denmark’s capital you are never too far away from a green oasis within the city. Numerous gardens, parks and other green areas welcome tourists. And although the history and architecture of this city is remarkable, it is important to pay attention to its nature as well – truly significant for the locals. Regional cemeteries are also frequently turned into some of the most beautiful parks, which really speaks for the connection Danes have with nature.

On your trip in the last minute, you get a unique chance to discover this beautiful Dane city and its surroundings. Not only will you have a chance to stay in one of our natural houses for a better price than usual, but you will embark on an adventure you might never forget. Denmark has so much to show and teach you that you must not miss this opportunity.

A relaxing nature in the middle of Copenhagen

Probably the most famous garden/park destination is King’s Garden. King Christian IV created this beautiful flower oasis next to his Palace. During the summer, the flowerbeds create a spectacle of color and scent and the garden becomes the perfect retreat from the city’s busy streets. Vestamager is a protected area where animals and plants thrive, and people only admire their beauty. In this park you can roam through 20 square kilometers of serene nature filled with birds, deer, horses and many more.

Bispebjerg Cemetery is one of the most famous cemetery parks in Denmark. A stunning network of picturesque paths cross this cemetery and a great place for a walk. The park is filled with cherry trees which draw much attention in the spring when they blossom, creating an inspiring sky of flowers. Dyrehaven is just a short trip away from the capital. This park is a woodland allowing visitors to enjoy peace and quiet as well as fresh Nordic air. Forests, small lakes and stunning landscapes await for you in the Deer Park. There are more than 2000 free range deer roaming the park territory creating a unique atmosphere recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Activities

The Deer Park has a well-established network of trails due to its history of being a hunting ground for the King. You can have a tranquil day and just enjoy a picnic, or you can jog, bike, horseback ride or walk through the beautiful surroundings; there are also organized horse carriage tours.

CopenHill is a remarkable and unique attraction in Copenhagen. This is an artificial ski slope and hiking area, moreover it is an area built on top of a clean energy plant. Except for serving some amazing views of the city, you will be able to enjoy many activities: skiing, snowboarding, running, hiking, climbing, sledding. It is a rather interesting experience, hardly found anywhere else, which is why we believe it is worth your time.

Syndhavnstippen is a green area of a Copenhagen neighborhood. You can get here on a short bike trip from the center and enjoy a sunny day in the company of sheep and alpacas. The area has been gaining popularity as a day trip location in recent years due to its lush vegetation and pristine water surrounding it.
