Animals and plants in Germany

In Germany, the animal world does not differ in richness and diversity of species. On the territory of the country, mainly on the south side, there are forests, therefore here live mainly animals, mammals and birds. The forests are inhabited by deer, roe deer, fallow deer, goats, raccoons, foxes, marmots, martens, badgers, squirrels, wolves, wild boars. Rabbits and hares can be found in meadows. There used to be a lot of otters in the rivers, but their heavy pollution has led to a significant reduction in species. In some forests bison, moose or bears can be found, but only in small numbers. Lynx live in the Bavarian Forest. Eagles, vultures, falcons and white storks live here from birds.

As for the flora, it is more diverse in the alpine meadows, which are located in southern Germany. There are many wild flowers, including: orchids, alpine roses, violets, cinquefoil, edelweiss, buttercups, cyclamen. In the mountains at an altitude of 2.8-2.8 km grow mosses, lichens and grasses. The country's forests are mostly coniferous, but there are also deciduous. Among the coniferous trees in these places there are spruces, pines, firs and larch. Deciduous: oak, beech, birch, chestnut, walnut, maple.

It is better not to pick mushrooms and berries in the woods, as they are poisonous and have a bright color. In order to preserve the unique landscapes and other rare species of animals and plants, about 50 nature reserves and nature parks have been created in Germany. The most famous not only in the country but also in Europe is the Bavarian Forest, it was recognized as a reserve in 1969. Rare species of animals and plants are collected on the territory of the reserve.

Nature

Hamburg is located in one of the most picturesque areas of the country, not far from where the Elbe flows into the North Sea. The river divides the city into two parts. Many have called Hamburg North Venice because many of the islands on the river are connected by more than 2,400 bridges.

More than half of the entire territory of Hamburg is occupied by green areas, squares, parks, nature reserves and recreation areas. In 2011, Hamburg was declared the Green Capital of Europe. Mumbling streams, blue lakes and plenty of greenery - this distinguishes Hamburg from the rest of Germany.

Entertainment and recreation

Despite the fact that Hamburg enjoys a reputation as the busiest city in Germany, locals love and know how to have fun here. Hamburg's theaters and museums are considered a great place to relax. Many city dwellers, especially the elderly, choose the brilliant opera and ballet theater in Hamburg, which offers you to enjoy magnificent performances from the time of F. Handel himself.

When visiting Hamburg with the whole family, be sure to plan a visit to the famous Hamburg Tierpark Hagenbeck. Almost all representatives of the fauna of the European continent are gathered in a huge territory. You can not only watch cute animals, but also relax in one of the cozy cafes. Children will especially remember riding an elephant or a camel. There is a magnificent dolphinarium on the territory of the zoo, where charming performances for children are organized every day. Also, the little ones can have fun in abundance on a specially equipped playground with numerous attractions. Hamburg has all the conditions for a fun nightlife. Reeperbahn is famous all over the world. This is a kind of German neighborhood with red lights. There are restaurants, nightclubs, discos, strip bars and brothels on the street.

Various exhibitions, festivals and fairs are held in Hamburg every year. With confidence, the most striking event in the life of the city can be called the popular DOM festival in Hamburg, which has gained great popularity among foreign tourists. This festive event is held three times a year. At that time, a huge number of attractions, beer tents and souvenir shops appeared on the streets of Hamburg. Every day here is celebrated with concerts, entertainment and special events for children. The spring festival is marked by exciting knightly tournaments, and the main attraction of the summer festival is the Village of Witches, a walk along which will give you many unforgettable impressions.
