Glamping in Dalmatia

Glamping is one of the best ways for nature enthusiasts to combine their wish to spend time in nature with the availability of luxurious facilities on your stay. Glamping has grown in popularity as an accommodation type mainly due to rising expectations of travelers wanting more glamorous trips; therefore, glamping (or glamorous camping) is a great alternative if you want to enjoy serene nature without a compromise in terms of the amenities present. Our glamping options mainly include luxurious tents, but you can find cottages or yurts as well. The location of these homes is always very quiet and quite distant from busy streets or big cities.

Dalmatia is one of the four historical regions in Croatia and an amazing travel destination for nature lovers. It represents a narrow strip of land on the east shore of the Adriatic Sea and it borders Bosnia and Herzegovina to the east along its territory. Most of the area is mountainous, being covered by the Dinaric Alps range.

Let Dalmatian nature take your breath away

This is one of the most pronounced historical regions in this part of Europe. On your trip to Dalmatia you will be able to enjoy a combination of amazing nature and the exceptional beauty of medieval towns and villages spread across the coast.

Starting off with the most famous natural wonder in Croatia – the Plitvice Lakes National Park. This Park is famous for its deep-green waterfalls and lush vegetation. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and encompasses 16 lakes forming terraces for more than 250 square kilometers. The hundreds of waterfalls really create a unique atmosphere in the park – unmatched anywhere around Europe.

Of course, Plitvice Lakes is not the only place where you can enjoy the perks of being around water. The Paklinski Islands is a chain of isles covered in dense forest and stretching along the Hvar coast. The coastline of this archipelago is filled with beautiful beaches, coves, rocky cliffs and tranquil bays.

Spand your time outside

The Plitvice Lakes National Park includes numerous hiking routes which are definitely one of the highlights of the park. Through these pathways you are able to cross lakes, look at the waterfalls from up close and walk through the dense Plitvice forest. The whole experience is a once-in-a-lifetime moment – walking on wooden boardwalks and enjoying nothing else that exceptional nature.

Hvar is a popular tourist destination where you can enjoy a day of exploring the medieval part of Croatia’s historical region. The town of Hvar has 13-century walls, a fortress looking over the town from above a hill, as well as a cathedral dating back from the Renaissance.

To enjoy the whole island and gain an understanding of its nature and terrain, you can book a guided off-road experience which will tell you everything you need to know and even more. Some of the highlights of this tour include the vineyard-covered hills with olives, rosemary and lavender.

Biokovo Nature Park is another amazing destination in the Dalmatia region. It is also hikers’ favorite spot! Of course, the hike is not for the weak, however once you have arrived at the skywalk, you will truly grasp the beauty of this area and its magnificent landscape.
