Welcome to our cozy cottage, a true 'palace' in the woods near (private) lake 'De Bonnerplas', 2 km away from the village of Gieten. In whatever season you come, it is always beautiful and peaceful! The cottage has 3 bedrooms: one with a double bed, and two with a single bed each. Two bedrooms have a sink. There is a kitchen, toilet and a shower room. At the back you will find a covered terrace, overlooking the lake. And if the weather is nice, you can use the picnic table in the garden. There is a bicycle shed and a shed with garden furniture. You are requested to bring your own linen/hand and dish towels.

The nature house is in the woods, on a quiet dirt road, which is part of the Drenthe trail. You can swim in the lake and relax in an inflatable boat. In the immediate vicinity it is wonderful for hiking, cycling or horseback riding. Golf course the Semslanden is also nearby. The cozy villages Gieten and Gasselte are within walking / biking distance. The Nije Hemelriek and the Gasselterveld in the extensive State Forests are nearby with sandy holes for swimming and extensive forests for cycling (a 32 km long MTB route!) and walking. You can wander around the Drouwenerzand, with sandy plains, heathland and forests. The nearby National Park Drentsche Aa is "the best preserved stream-esque village landscape of Western Europe" and has many hiking and cycling routes. Gieten has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, Het Zwanemeer, in the middle of the forest. In short, plenty of nature to completely unwind! In addition, you are within 20-30 minutes in Groningen, Assen and Emmen.
