In the heart of the Ardennes, on the valley slope of the Semois, in a wooded area, you will find this comfortable chalet with unique character and an exceptional view. Ideal for those looking for peace and nature while enjoying all the charms of a wooden chalet. The chalet is safe and easily accessible, within walking distance of the village center of Poupehan. The particularity of this chalet is that it is Off-grid, so it is not connected to the main electricity network; batteries charged by solar energy provide the house with the necessary electricity for normal use during the stay. Bringing your own electrical appliances is therefore not possible, except of course for your cell phone and/or tablet. Off-grid yes, yet the concessions to comfort and quality are minimal; this contributes to a special stay experience. For safety reasons, we do not recommend staying with children under the age of 7. The incomparable Semois runs through the wooded Ardennes, and in the middle of it lies Bouillon (Poupehan), the area par excellence for a real vacation. Compared to the other Ardennes rivers, the Semois is a "quiet" river, but in terms of natural beauty, the river has no equal !The Semois traces a winding ribbon through a unique landscape. Along the way, dense forests touch its banks, as it sometimes waltzes over boulders and other times takes a perpendicular detour to avoid a stubborn rocky outcrop. At Bouillon, the famous castle overlooks the once strategic river. Further downstream, the Semois irrigates well-known villages such as Poupehan, Rochehaut, Alle and Vresse.Bouillon and its surroundings are therefore a paradise for hikers, kayakers and mountain bikers.
