This unique cottage "The Owl" is located in the recreation area De Borkeld. The cottage is not located on a park but is surrounded by several recreational homes. The cottage is located on a plot of almost 1000 m² of private land, the site is fully fenced and equipped with outdoor lighting. In the garden there are several terraces with garden furniture and both sun and shade spots among the rhododendrons. While enjoying peace and relaxation you will see squirrels and birds in the garden. The cottage has been completely renovated and decorated with comfortable furniture in warm colors. The living room has both a sitting area and a generous dining table. The kitchen with natural stone top is fully equipped. There is central heating and WiFi throughout the cottage. The marble bathroom has floor heating, a spacious walk-in shower, washbasin and toilet. There are 2 bedrooms in the cottage, one with a double box-spring bed and the other with 2 single box-spring beds.

Recreation area De Borkeld is located near the village of Holten and nature reserve Holterberg. This hilly area is part of National Park the Sallandse Heuvelrug and includes many moors interspersed with vast (coniferous) forests. At Holterberg are several catering establishments, mini-golf, playground and the Nature Museum Holterberg. From here the impressive Canadian Cemetery with its information center is easily accessible. And this is also an ideal starting point for cycling and hiking tours. The village of Holten has a cozy village center with restaurants and terraces, stores and culture. Due to its location near the A1 highway, you are also quickly in Hanseatic city Deventer or just more Twente. In the cottage you will find information on various attractions and activities in the area.
