Sleep on your own island! This is possible in our lockkeeper's house from 1824. Through a pedestrian bridge you have access to the house (parking is possible at 150m). The house has a completely new and cozy kitchen and a spacious living room with wood stove. Downstairs is also a toilet. Upstairs there are 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The house has a private garden and the area offers huge possibilities, on land and on water. Good to know: On and around the lock island it can be lively in the summer. We think it is important to mention that the house is not in the middle of nature far from civilization. Bed linen is available in the house, towels, tea towels & dishwasher tablets are not available and you have to bring your own. Also, extra garbage bags and toilet paper are not a luxury and we recommend that you bring them. PLEASE NOTE: Ascension and Pentecost: min. stay 3 nights! Check out is not possible on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

The property is part of the historic lock complex and stands on the lock island. A bicycle and pedestrian bridge provides access to the island. By the way, for transportation of your belongings we have a handy cart available! On the other side of the dike is a beautiful nature reserve (Natuurmonumenten) where you can go for lovely walks. Prefer the water? Canoes and electric sloops are rented across the water. There are also bicycles for rent and a par-3 golf course and an adventure golf course 2 km away. Fun cities like Breda and Antwerp are a 40-minute drive away and the Grevelingen beach just 20 minutes. The Zeeland coast is 45 minutes away.
