Above the authentic thatched stables is the guesthouse in the hayloft. This nature house has two very spacious rooms. One room is furnished as a living room the other is a bedroom. The sleeping area is suitable for two persons (1 double bed, 1 single bed). On the ground floor of The Hayloft is the kitchen, toilet, urinal and shower room. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances and utensils. The Hayloft has a standard budget rate. This means that you need to bring your own bedding, towels, etc. You can also order a linen package from us. You can add this option when booking. Our beautiful Saxon farm is located on the edge of the National Park Het Dwingelderveld. The farm was built around 1614 and is therefore one of the oldest farms in Drenthe. Various elements remind of the old function as living and working accommodation for people and livestock. The old trusses are still visible in various places in the building. In addition, the old bedstead is fully tact, as well as the pompestraat the place where all the wet work was done.Garden and yardThe yard and lands of Hoeve den Anholt have a total area of three hectares. Against the front facade of the farmhouse, three century-old pollard lime trees stand like ancient sentinels. In front of the farm is the old orchard also called Appelhof. Between old beech and hawthorn hedges there are many tall fruit trees of very old varieties. Within the hedges, according to ancient Drenthe tradition, there is a vegetable garden.
