Located in the middle of the Vosges Mountain Forest, in a small hamlet on a quiet country lane, "This naturehouse" is a self contained upstairs apartment off the main house, accommodating up to 5 people, well behaved children & small animals (charged) are welcome. Well equipped, with two double bedrooms, a "pull out" settee in the living area, baby equipment on demand, you will find all you might need in the well equipped kitchen, with oven, microwave etc.. A double sink shower room with large storage cupboard has a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. All towels and linen are provided. This naturehouse is accessed by your private entry door leading through the "buanderie" where you will find your washing machine. Open Parking is in the grounds. Central heating, electricity, etc. are included. We are a very "nature" type family, using almost no chemicals in the house or grounds. All "throw away" items are recycled, including almost all food waste for the fowls.

La Houssiere, 88430, is a small village surrounded by forests and mountains and the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park. We usually enjoy two distinct seasons, summer offering just about all Mother Nature has in store, winter excellent skiing and traditional activities rarely found elsewhere. Within walking or cycling distance are hundreds of kilometres of forest paths where the patient can see wild deer, boar, beavers, among others on the land, fish a plenty in the rivers and lakes and birds of a huge variety, listing the area as having one of the most varied winged populations. Many of our visitors arrive with their own bicycles, only riding and walking and never having to resort to a car. (Fresh milk from the farm is close by.) The village of Corcieux has a pharmacy, wonderful bread & cake shop, a good general store - (Spar) - post office and tourist information bureau. A Cheese factory where a good range can be found at below normal prices, besides many local producers.
