Peace, space, green: welcome to our nature house in the special Welsum. Located on the west side of the river IJssel, this is the ideal base for various walks or bike rides along the river, on the Veluwe or in the versatile Salland. The spacious, modern and environmentally friendly cottage of up to 70 m2 is fully equipped. There is wifi (fiberglass), a smart TV, comfortable large sofa, separate kitchen and bathroom, underfloor heating, air conditioning and a bedroom with a luxury double bed of Auping. The kitchenette has all the basic amenities such as stove, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. There is plenty of privacy. The cottage overlooks the lush biodiverse garden, has a private terrace, parking with charging station and a bicycle shed. Energy is provided by solar panels and, unusually, the toilet is flushed with rainwater. Book 3 nights or longer and completely unwind. Price includes bed linen, towels and final cleaning.

Welsum is located in a special part of Overijssel, not on the east but on the west bank of the river IJssel. In this way enclosed between Gelderland and the IJssel, it is a particularly remote part of the Netherlands (where it is really dark at night). The nature house is located on a hectare of nature garden on the ancient Erveweg, amidst forest plots, meadows and orchards. It is about a 10-minute bike ride to the rustic IJsseldijk, which winds along the IJssel River between Zwolle and Deventer. The area is ideal for rural cycling and walking, for example with the dog (who is also welcome in the cottage). With the ferry you cross the river to Olst. On this other side of the IJssel lies the forest and castle-rich Salland. The inspiring cities of Deventer and Zwolle are nearby. For daily shopping you can go to surrounding villages such as Olst, Epe or Terwolde. Heading west, the Veluwe is nearby.
