Now imagine walking along one of the narrow streets of the Village (in Ligurian they are called “caruggi”), heading out towards the countryside. Follow the little path along the gentle flowing creek, its waterfalls and natural pools, surrounded by old trees and olives grooves. Just a few steps along the path you will come across an old stone arch covered in ivy and a stone bridge where the creek flows pleasantly. A few more steps and, through the trees and leaves, you will set eyes on a small clearing, with terraced gardens. In the middle of the clearing there is an old stone watermill, now completely refurbished; Welcome to Secret Gardens! You can walk or cycle along the many countryside paths around Borgomaro or you can relax in our private gardens and enjoy the sound of the little creek that is flowing right next to you. Have a barbecue under the stars, surrounded the magic light of the fireflies. Have a swim in the natural pools of Borgomaro river or drive just a few kilometres and enjoy the beautiful Ligurian sea. And if you are a mountain lover, in less than 30 minutes driving you can enjoy hiking in the beautiful landscape of Ligurian Alps.
