Delightful stone cottage situated off the main road on the foot of the mountain-side above the capital of Andros Chora, with a spectacular view of the sea and the settlement of Chora. It was built 100 years ago by experienced craftsmen who were able to bring out the beauty of the local stone, combining colours and sizes evenly. Since then it has been renovated using traditional techniques with modern structuring materials in order to create a fully functional 65 sqm house with a warm atmosphere.
Nature and surroundings
It is surrounded by olive trees, in a remote and stunning location on the green hillside overlooking the beautiful bay of Chora. The tranquility and peace of the location, which is wedded to the fact that the cottage is away from the main road, ensures your own private space and the sense of being close to nature. There are lots of tasteful sitting arrangements in front of the cottage. Sitting outside, below the big olive tree, is an archetypal pleasure linked to the landscape of Greek islands. The sunrise as well as the moonrise, especially at full moon, from the terrace of the cottage is magnificent too. For those who like hiking Andros Island has lots of beautiful and well signposted hiking trips. The house is quite close to one of the island's walking trails (#1) that will take you through the villages leading from Chora up the valley.
