On an island in the middle of the Reeuwijkse Plassen lies this beautiful and well maintained nature house. The nature house is located between the Kalverbroekplas and the Nieuwenbroekplas and can only be reached by boat. A boat with electric motor is included in the rental of the cottage. If there is ice during the winter months, the island is not accessible and we agree on a new date. Around the house is a wooden terrace with a half covered veranda on the south side. From the jetties you can swim, fish and canoe. Through the boardwalk you walk to the grove on the island. The cottage has a luxurious bathroom, equipped with floor heating, shower, toilet and large sink, a romantic bedroom with a double bed and a fully equipped kitchen (bath and kitchen towels are provided). On cool evenings you can sit inside around the wood stove. The nature house is ideal for two people.

The Reeuwijkse Plassen area is a unique nature and water sports area in the South Holland polder landscape. The Reeuwijkse Plassen consist of 13 lakes between Bodegraven and Gouda created by peat extraction in the 18th and 19th centuries. They are separated by narrow roads where you can walk and cycle. Part of the area (Broekvelden, Vettenbroek, Polder Stein and a number of other grassland polders) has been designated a Natura 2000 protected nature reserve. There are plenty of opportunities for water recreation, think sailing, rowing, surfing and canoeing. By boat you can sail to restaurants via several lakes. This nature house is located in the quiet part of the lakes. Historic Gouda with small medieval streets, stores, canals and courtyards is five kilometers away. There are many hiking and cycling routes in the area. Reeuwijk is centrally located between Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague.
