Amidst all the beauty of nature, on the Elyseesche Velden against the beautiful moraine between Beek and Ubbergen near the Ooijpolder in Gelderland, stands our 100-year-old house, with in the leafy garden this sustainably newly built well-insulated nature house. It is comfortably equipped for sleeping, living and relaxing for two people, possibly with baby. The living room is bright with characteristic wooden rafters, sofa, hanging chair, folding table top and French doors to its own sunny private terrace and garden. There is also an open kitchen with cooking island, fully equipped incl. dishwasher and coffee bean machine. One bedroom with double bed (140x200)and a cot if a baby comes along. Bathroom with large walk-in shower, Rituals products, hairdryer and washing machine. You have your own entrance. A wonderful base for the city of Nijmegen or Maartenskliniek. You will find the nature house in the middle of the Rijk van Nijmegen. The most beautiful that the Netherlands has to offer in terms of culture and nature. On the one hand, the river landscape of Maas and Waal in the nature reserves of the Ooijpolder and Duffelt. On the other hand, the fascinating "stuwwallandschap", nature reserve Heerlijkheid Beek lends itself wonderfully to walking and cycling. If you like hiking, you can walk along the N70 nature trail, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Netherlands. With the Devil's Mountain, quite a climb, the pancake restaurant as a stopover. Or start from the cottage and walk a part of the pilgrimage the "Walk of Wisdom" in the Ooijpolder At 5 minutes walk from the cottage you will find in the woods of the Ravenberg the Kabouterboom, the oldest sweet chestnut in the Netherlands, Beek owes its name to the many sources that spring from which crystal clear water flows. Peace, clean air and clear spring water: these are the ingredients for health and an energy boost.
