The nature house is located on the sea dike and, less than 500 meters walk away, offers numerous small sandy beaches where you can get the real sea feeling. Near the cottage there is a picnic table on the high dike, good for dinner with a view of the sea and its boats. Along the breakwaters - which are the place to enjoy the sunset - you can pick the salty delicacy lamb's ear. Within cycling distance you will find Perkpolder, from where you can take a boat trip along the sandbanks and where you can spot seals. Not much further away is the famous Verdronken Land van Saeftinghe, a vast area of salt marshes and salt marshes in the Westerschelde. Also nearby is the bird sanctuary De Grote Putting and the Natura 2000 area De Vogelkreek. Hiking, photography, cycling, swimming, fishing and bird watching... This is the place to be.
