An oasis of peace and nature, in the hilly countryside of the Dordogne. In a valley, at the end of a cul-de-sac, lies the hamlet nature house. Praised by locals for 'la tranquilité'. Around the stately chestnut tree and old well are several buildings: a house, a smaller cottage, a painter's studio and a large barn. Around it a spacious garden, surrounded by the little river Le Lavaud, by meadow and by forest. As far as you can see, there are no houses to be seen, just trees, meadows and arable land. The old farmhouse is over 200 years old. In the living room of the nature house there is a large fireplace, in the living kitchen a wood stove. The house contains three bedrooms (sleeping a total of seven) and a bathroom. The terrace by the kitchen overlooks the meadow and provides access to the garden. The smaller house served as a cloth spinning mill more than 300 years ago. The living kitchen with wood stove overlooks the small river. In the cottage there is a bedroom and bathroom. Next to the cottage on the terrace are two more bedrooms. Below the cottage, located on another terrace, is another bathroom.

The 19th century barn housed 14 cows, a considerable number for the time. Now in summer it is a lovely, shady place. There is a climbing rope and a rack hanging. Next to the barn is the parking lot. Easels, paints, pigment and paper from various artists in the family have found a place in the newly built studio. The studio overlooks the garden and river. Next to the studio is an extra bathroom. Depending on the season, you can pick from the various fruit and nut trees in the garden. Between the trees hang several hammocks. The little river is very refreshing in summer. For the children there is a trampoline.
