This nature house used to be the house of the woodcutter and is detached and located at the beginning of the village near a path to the forest. It is a beautiful authentic house, recently restored with taste for the old details. It breathes history. The house is very suitable for children. The garden is large, they can play football, there are swings and there is a large playhouse. Under the canopy on the "farmer's terrace" you can eat outside in the shade. What peace and quiet! The house is fully equipped. Downstairs, the house has a beautiful entrance, an equipped kitchen with a large fireplace and a small dining table. In the lounge you can dine on stand at the large dining table or rest and watch TV in the sitting area. On the ground floor there is also the bathroom and toilet. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two with spacious double beds and one room with three single beds. The master bedroom has a small private bathroom in the old large linen closet.

The village of Melay is at the junction of three departments and about 30 kilometers from the Autoroute du Soleil; the highway to the south. The village itself is in the Haute-Marne, but just over the hill is the Haute-Saone and on the other side are the Vosges Mountains. You don't really have to do anything, visit anything, rest there or enjoy a pleasant get-together with family or friends. In the immediate vicinity you can make good walks in the many fields and forests (maps available). Walk on the path through the vineyards, in spring the wild orchids bloom there. Or visit the ruin with the cast iron door in the forest on the hill. Stroll through the village and have a chat with the colorful friendly locals. Who knows, they might invite you for aperitifs! Biking (available) on the narrow roads can be tough, the hills are sometimes quite steep. There are not many cars, the Haute-Marne is one of the most sparsely populated areas of France.
