The nature house is a houseboat decorated in retro style (1960s), but also with the necessary modernization: good bathroom and plumbing, good beds, small dishwasher, central heating and laminate floor. But with a warm look, with shades of brown and orange. A living room with a large window overlooking the lake with grebes, tufted ducks and the beautiful windmills! Even a dip in the lake is good to go. The nature house is located on open water on the western shore of the Koppoel, one of the smaller Kagerplassen, near Rijpwetering. The ark is there together with the landlord's houseboat, but has more than enough privacy. Next to the ark you have your own jetty and seating area. The cottage is easily accessible by car (A4), bicycle (beautiful cycling area) and public transport (bus 56 from Leiden CS). The Wifi connection is fine again! But because we are in the outlying areas sometimes a bit weaker!

The nature house is located in the Green Heart of the municipality of Kaag and Braassem. It couldn't be more Dutch: from one of the outdoor seating areas with wood deck you look out on the meadows with sheep and cows! Nearby several self-chewing farmers (Leiden cheese, Boerenkaas). Despite the busy region, close to Schiphol Airport, you will be amazed at the peace and space. We like a garden that has a wild look, with paths and shady spots here and there. Many birds you will find here therefore as: the blackhead, titmice, wren, sometimes along the bank a kingfisher and in the evening the blackbird! In the reeds the small and great warbler. In short, lots of nature!
