Challenge! There is an exciting access emergency road with sometimes 40% ascent! So who wants to take this challenge and has a 4WD, grab your chance! I learned it with buckling knees and now I love it with our 33 year old fiat 4WD! This cozy house is located four kilometers from Pigna amidst fruit and olive trees, on terraced land and built against the mountain. The house has an open and cozy atmosphere with all its terraces with constantly changing views. You can always sit somewhere in the sun or shade. There is an outdoor kitchen with gas hob, a pizza oven and a large wok burner or gas barbeque. The house is self-sufficient. The water comes from the stream from monte Ceppo, we drink it, electricity comes from solar panels and there is Wifi. 'Downstairs' is a field with two mobile homes where the landlords are when the house is rented. Nearby are beautiful pools in which you can take a refreshing jump. There is a large balcony, with no fence!

Castel Vittorio (which includes this outlying area) is located in the foothills of the Ligurian Alps that flow into the azure Mediterranean Sea just 26 kilometers from the nature house. Yet Pigna will be more your village because you will pass through it on your way and this village has the most delicious Italian restaurants and where you can get delicious ice cream. The villages in this area seem to be strewn over the green hills. In the villages and along the coast there is always music and other festivities. At the house it is an oasis of tranquility with the sound of birds and running water from the stream in the background. In the vicinity you can enjoy and quite brisk walking. Downright great is the Alta Via which runs across the border with Italy and France. Larger towns like Ventimiglia(26 km), San Remo(40), Monaco(35) and Nice(70) are also very close. The nearest large supermarket is in Ventimiglia. With also an excellent indoor market!
