The ruralhut is at a five-minute walk from the Scherpenheuvel center and the basilica. Nevertheless, it is located in an interesting, historically important and fascinating environment. It is located next to a former railway that was converted into a beautiful hiking and cycling path. Stay here for forests, fields, heath and friends. On the one side the abbey of Averbode floats above the green horizon. It is a great base for exploring the Hageland, the Merode area, the Zuiderkempen and surrounding areas. The silence and nature will make you relax. The hiking and cycling network literally starts at the backyard.
