This nature house first served as an office for the landlords' nursery for several years. This spring they finished the renovation. The focus here was always on quality, ecology and sustainability. The workmen (and artists) are local people, often now friends.The structure is a large loft: the unique staircase leads to an open second floor (mezzanine) where there is a large, open bedroom and a very cosy bathroom.Downstairs are the actual living spaces: open kitchen, with all the comforts, dining area overlooking the large meadow and woods and a sitting area. The sofa can be used as a sofa bed for two adults or children. Upstairs is also an old French crib that can be used as a sofa or bed for a young child. There are large openings on all sides, making the cottage incredibly light. You can heat with a Jotul wood stove.

This nature house stands on a 1.5-hectare nature meadow, near the mountain village of Champagnac-le-Vieux. The cottage is at 900 meters altitude, is surrounded by a very flowery landscaped garden and has a beautiful view of a large meadow with numerous varieties of insects and butterflies, behind which the forests begin. In Champagnac there is a very pleasant large pond (with quality label), a riding school where horses are rented, a bakery, a bar and a restaurant.Many excursions are possible from Champagnac: on the one hand you have all the hiking trails ("respirando") which are well marked and lead you through beautiful landscapes and authentic villages, Brioude with its famous basilica and colorful market, the river Allier, oneone of the most qualitative of France, where kayaking and rafting are offered, La-Chaise-Dieu and Lavaudiau with their early medieval abbeys, the volcanoes of Auvergne, and of course the beautiful pilgrimage city of Le Puy-en-Velay.
