In the middle of Värmland in Lakene, about 20 km from Hagfors, you will find this cozy nature house. The cottage is located at the end of a road and therefore has a quiet location. Because the house is slightly on a hill, you have a beautiful view with the Lakenesjön in the distance. The house is equipped for up to six people. Because of the free and quiet location, the spacious garden (with playhouse) and the equipment, the house is very suitable for families with small children. The nature house is located in the hamlet Lakene, close to the village Sörby. The house is quietly situated with a spacious and sunny garden. At the back the garden borders the forest, at the front it borders meadows. From the cottage you have a view of the lake within walking distance: the Lakenesjon where you can swim, sail and fish. About 10 minutes away by car there is a swimming spot/beach which is suitable for small children because of the shallow water.

The landscape around this nature house is hilly and consists of countryside, forest, lakes and rugged rock formations. Actually the Sweden as you imagine it from the books: hills, red houses beautiful lakes and lots of forest. In the vicinity are several trips to make (walking, cycling, boating or by car) to enjoy the scenery and nature. About 25 kilometers away is a beautiful large waterfall. The nearest supermarket (and gas station) is in Råda, about 10 minutes away by car. Here you can do your daily shopping. For a larger supermarket or more stores, the nearest places are Hagfors and Ekshärad, both about a 25-minute drive away. In Lakene and in Eksharäd you will find a riding school (Lakenegård) where you can go for beautiful horseback rides. For golfers there are beautiful golf courses in Råda, Sunne and Torsby. Of course you can also fish well, if it doesn't want to bite in the lake, you can try it in the trout lake. There are several opportunities for rafting or canoeing in the area. Elk or beaver safaris are organized at various locations in the area. In winter there are illuminated trails for cross-country skiing in Råda and Hagfors, among others, and you can ski in Sunne, Branàs, or in the year-round ski tunnel in Torsby. In addition, there are several museums to visit.
