This nature house is a solid, pine building and has seven bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. There is a common dining room with equipped kitchen. The bedrooms are furnished for two persons. Two single beds can be joined together to make a double bed if desired. All rooms are centrally heated. Separate from the wooden house is a white, stone building. You can also cook in this recreation room with wood stove. There is a sitting area and there are tables and chairs. Also here are a shuffleboard, ping-pong table and music system. This room can also be used as a work/course room for groups staying at the nature house. Children can play here. There is a sandbox and plenty of room to mess around with natural materials. Noisy partygoers not welcome. After 10 p.m. it must be quiet outside in the garden. In the recreation room, of course, you can have a nice long social time.

This nature house has a lovely, large garden with sun and shade, nice sitting areas on the banks of the Swalm or nice and close to home next to the sandbox. The hosts are your immediate neighbors. Part of the garden is shared. The surrounding nature reserves are managed by Staatsbosbeheer. There are nice small and large walks from the guest house. The guest house is located on the outskirts of the village of Swalmen. A nice walk along the Swalm brings you to the core of the village with stores, supermarkets and a wide choice of dining options. An outdoor swimming pool is a 10-minute walk away. Roermond and Maastricht are beautiful cities to visit. Nice trips include a visit to Bruggen (10 kilometers) with a fascinating nature and hunting museum, and a beautiful playground with zoo. Tegelen (12 kilometers) has a playground and climbing park. The white town of Thorn is 15 kilometers from here. In Steyl you will find the Mission Museum and botanical garden.
