Coastal villas

Europe during the summer becomes a busy beehive full of tourists. From the big cities to the Riviera and Greece’s beaches, everything is packed. Nevertheless, you have come to the right place looking for a more peaceful place for you and your travel companions for this summer. There are many hidden gems across the continent, suitable for those who love nature and cherish peace and quiet.

Booking a coastal villa gives you the unique opportunity to enjoy the amazing summer weather in Europe while spending time in a peaceful location near some of the most beautiful European coasts. The villas provide great views of vast areas on the coastline, they are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay and in some of them you can enjoy the sun next to your own private pool. Choose your villa wisely depending on your preferences for location and the activities you may find nearby and refer to our suggestions for days full of adventure!

Get the best of European nature in the summer

The coastline of Portugal offers some of the best views of steep rocks diving into the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. In Ponta da Piedade (Algarve) you will find cliffs, numerous rock arches, small hidden caves, and romantic pathways. Another beautiful spot is the Ria Formosa National Park – a lagoon located in the area. This region is a system of islands with six inlets from the Atlantic Ocean. Apart from being a strikingly beautiful national park, the waterways are economically important to the province of Algarve.

The Netherlands is an unexpectedly good place to visit during summer, as tourists do not tend to think of Friesland, Zeeland, or North Holland as a place for a summer vacation. Nevertheless, the coastline in Zeeland alone is 650km long and has something to offer for everyone. The beaches of Oostkapelle are some of the cleanest along the coast, but Cadzand is another great place for a beach day.

A summer full of adventure

One of the most beautiful trails in Portugal, in our opinion, is the Telheiro Beach Trail – on this place with geologic significance you can learn a lot about the formation and development of the Iberian Peninsula as we know it today and enjoy some of the most dramatic and picturesque views of the rocky bay.

Zeeland offers numerous hiking and cycling possibilities on an extensive trail network. One of our most favorite routes is the path that crosses the woods and dunes of Manteling van Walcheren reserve. For nine kilometers of pure bliss, you get to enjoy a beautiful reserve and Zeeland’s oldest beach resort with some of the cleanest beaches and waters of the North Sea.

Wadden Sea is an area of natural importance recognized by UNESCO, located in the Dutch coastal province of Friesland. The area includes 5 islands in an intertidal zone of the North Sea. A biological diversity and a rich population of birds have turned the place into a nature enthusiast paradise. Except for admiring the striking views of the Wadden Sea, the Schiermonnikoog National Park will also welcome you for a day full of adventures – biking, hiking and many watersports are some of the activities you can engage in on this small car-free island in the Netherlands.
